A. Personal Information You Provide to Us

• Account Information: When you create an account, you become a User. As a User, we collect your display name (to show to everyone) and a username (for internal identification). Your email is only used for password resets and optionally if you subscribe to the changelog. Your password is hashed, meaning no one will be able to see it, and the only way to change it is via a password reset.
• Game Save: We collect all your local storage, which we refer to as a Game Save.
• Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information for your profile, such as a profile picture, date of birth, gender, pronouns (if you provide them), and a description (which also gets displayed).
• Communications: When you communicate with us (e.g., customer support inquiries, feedback), we collect the content of your communications and any information you provide.
• Purchase Information: If you make purchases on our Site, all payments are processed through Square (https://squareup.com/). We do not directly collect or store your credit card details. We do collect billing address and transaction details related to your purchases.
• User-Generated Content: Any content you submit to the Site, such as comments, forum posts, or game reviews, may be collected.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your interactions with our Site, such as the pages you visit, the features you use, the games you play, and the time and duration of your activities.

• Plausible CE Data: We utilise Plausible CE (Community Edition), which is self-hosted. This means that only a select few individuals have access to the data collected about your interactions with our Site. This data includes information such as your interests, geographic location, device information (browser, operating system, screen resolution), and behavioural data (pages visited, time on site, bounce rate, referral source, session duration, number of sessions). All data collected via Plausible CE is private.
• Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We only use cookies to keep you logged in. If you do not have an account, you are a Guest whose cookies do not get affected.

• For Disciplinary Actions and Security: Information collected from you, including personal information you provide (Section 1.A) and automatically collected data (Section 1.B), may be used for disciplinary actions, such as investigating violations of our terms of service, preventing fraudulent activities, or blocking access to our services if necessary to maintain the integrity and security of our platform. This includes, but is not limited to, addressing issues related to account misuse, inappropriate content, or any other behaviour that contravenes our community guidelines.
• To Communicate with You: To respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, and send you important updates or notifications related to your account or our services.

• Account Deletion: To do so, please email gustavs@nerdtown.cc from the email registered to the account you want to delete with the message: "I would like to delete my account (username, current displayname)."
• Data Request: You can request your data by clicking the "Download Your Data" button in your dashboard.

6. Children's Privacy

We do not recommend that individuals under the age of 13 make an account. You can still use our services, but to use an account, you do need parental permission.
